MyHotips began with a simple realisation: more of us are trying to build an income from home, but a worrying number of us are doing it while slowly becoming part of the office furniture.
Work from home sounds glamorous at first. No commute. No awkward kitchen small talk. No pretending you are “just stretching your legs” when you are actually avoiding a meeting. You can make your own coffee, wear softer trousers, choose your own schedule, and enjoy the freedom of modern flexible working.

Lovely.
Except then your phone buzzes at 10:47pm. Then your laptop is still open at dinner.
Then your “quick five-minute task” becomes a two-hour spiral involving affiliate links, image sizes, post scheduling, a weird plugin issue, and a sudden need to research whether your chair is personally responsible for ruining your spine.
That is where MyHotips started to make sense.
The Money Growth side came naturally. There are more ways than ever to build income outside the traditional workplace. Affiliate marketing, creator content, online selling, influencing, blogs, newsletters, digital products, websites, funnels, email lists, automation tools, post scheduling and content monetisation have opened up opportunities that simply did not exist in the same way before.
More people are working hybrid jobs, building side hustles, becoming creators, freelancing, selling online, recommending products, or trying to turn their knowledge, skills and content into something that earns.
And that is genuinely exciting.
The problem is, the freedom can also become a trap.
The phrase “passive income” has a lot to answer for. Passive income can be brilliant, but there is often absolutely nothing passive about getting it started. Before anything ticks over quietly in the background, there is usually a very active stage involving research, writing, building, testing, fixing, posting, scheduling, reviewing, tweaking, linking, uploading, and occasionally staring into the middle distance wondering why the thing that was meant to save time has eaten three evenings and half your will to live.
Even a side hustle can be hard to switch off from, especially when it is yours. Your idea. Your risk. Your income. Your future. Your little digital baby that pings you at bedtime.

So we realised that money growth on its own was not enough. Wellness had to sit beside it.
Not wellness in a smug, unattainable, “wake up at 5am and become your highest self before breakfast” kind of way. We mean realistic wellness. Normal-person wellness. The kind that says: drink some water, move your legs, unclench your jaw, stop using your shoulders as earrings, and maybe eat something that is not just toast crumbs and ambition.
Of course, we will also cover the more navel-gazing-under-the-stars side of things. If your version of balance involves listening to crickets, drinking ashwagandha chamomile tea, and crocheting something emotionally supportive for your dog, we will absolutely make room for that too. One of our team happens to be extremely into this sort of thing, so there is no judgement here.
We are simply saying wellness comes in many forms, many budgets, and many levels of tea-leaf squeezing.

There is the luxury version: the garden office pod, the ergonomic chair, the standing desk, the air purifier, the soft lighting, the organic tea collection, the super greens, the weighted blanket, the sunrise alarm clock, and possibly a candle that smells like a Scandinavian forest having an emotional breakthrough.
Then there is the “my office is technically a shoe cupboard, but I have made it work” version.
Both count.
That is the point.
MyHotips is not here to tell everyone they need the same setup, the same routine, the same budget, or the same idea of balance. Some people are building a creator workspace with proper lighting, a filming setup and a beautiful desk. Some people are balancing a laptop on whatever surface is not currently covered in laundry. Some people want a luxury office chair. Some people need a £12 cushion that stops their lower back from filing a formal complaint.
Balance has to work where you are, with what you have.
That is why Money Growth and Wellness felt like such natural partners. If you are building income from home, your tools matter. Your content systems matter. Your scheduling matters. Your affiliate strategy, website, email list, automation and workflow all matter.
But your body matters too.
Your eyes, neck, back, knees, sleep, hydration, food, movement and stress levels are part of the system. Ignore them for long enough and eventually they will join forces and stage an uprising.
As a predominantly work-from-home team, we know how easy it is to lose the edges of the day. When you never properly leave the office behind, discipline gets harder. Breaks become optional. Lunch becomes theoretical. Hydration becomes something you vaguely intended to do earlier. Comfort becomes something you only notice once you are already folded into a shape no human spine officially signed off on.
Traditional workplaces often come with structure, whether we appreciate it or not. There might be a commute, a lunch break, a chat with someone across the room, a reason to walk somewhere, a workplace gym scheme, team-building activities, or simply the mental shift of leaving one place and arriving somewhere else.
When you work from home, especially for yourself, a lot of that disappears.
There is no magical team outing when you are self-employed in your spare room. No one casually says, “Fancy popping out for lunch?” No commute forces you to move. No office door closes behind you at the end of the day.
Instead, there is a laptop. A phone. A chair. A deadline. A notification. Another idea. Another thing to fix. Another tab.
Lockdown changed this for a lot of people. It pushed remote and hybrid work into the mainstream almost overnight and proved that working from home could work. Productivity did not vanish just because people were no longer sitting under office lights pretending not to be cold. Many workers and businesses realised that home working was not only possible, but often practical, flexible and effective.
But it also showed the messier truth: home working needs boundaries.
It needs better systems. Better habits. Better workspaces. Better digital discipline. Better breaks. Better ways to separate “I am working” from “I am technically still in my house and should probably be living my life.”
That is the space MyHotips wants to live in.
The Money Growth side is about helping you build smarter. We want to cover affiliate ideas, creator tools, websites, online selling, email growth, funnels, automation, post scheduling, content systems, useful gear and practical ways to make work-from-home income feel more achievable.

The Wellness side is about helping you keep going without becoming a melted candle by Friday. We want to cover home office comfort, desk setup, movement, hydration, sleep, digital calm, gentle productivity, balanced routines, healthier workdays, and the small changes that make a real difference when your office is also your home.
Because the modern creator, remote worker, hybrid employee, freelancer or side hustler is not just asking, “How do I earn more?”
They are also asking, “How do I earn more without my smart watch staging an intervention?”
We have all had those moments. Sitting there in deep creative flow, needing to pee, legs going numb, smart watch buzzing because apparently you have not moved since the last government, and still thinking, “Just one more paragraph.”
Sometimes that is okay. Creative flow is real. If the idea is moving, occasionally you follow it.
But if you borrow energy from your body, you have to pay it back.
A proper stretch. A longer shower. A decent meal. A glass of water. A short walk. Ten minutes away from the screen where nobody, including your phone, is allowed to ask anything of you.
That is not laziness. That is maintenance.
MyHotips Money Growth & Wellness was born from that exact mix: stiff necks, sore knees, stressful deadlines, uncomfortable chairs, late-night messages, too much screen time, too many open tabs, and the growing belief that modern work needs more than ambition.
It needs care.
Whether your dream setup is a luxury office pod in the garden or a desk squeezed into a cupboard, the aim is the same: make balance work.
Build the income. Create the content. Schedule the posts. Test the tools. Grow the thing.
But also stretch your legs, drink the water, eat something decent, close the laptop, and remember that you are not actually employed by your inbox.

The strapline is still to be confirmed, but the heart of it is already here: smarter ways to work, grow, earn and feel human while doing it.
We really hope you get some great tips, honest reminders, useful tools, and maybe the occasional nudge to move before your chair claims custody.
